Delete your account

You can delete your account and everything attached to it at any time, from inside the app or by writing to us.

In the app

Open Account → Delete account and confirm. It happens immediately; there is nothing to wait for and no approval needed from us.

By email

If you no longer have access to the app, write to us from the email address you signed up with:

[CONTACT EMAIL]

We ask for the account's own address because it is the proof that the account is yours; we cannot delete an account on a request from a different address. Requests are carried out within 30 days.

What is deleted

Your account and the sign-in identity attached to it
Your name, email address and profile picture
Your favourites and saved items
Your reading progress
Your prayer, adhan and language settings

Deletion is permanent. We keep no copy.

What remains, and why

Short-lived technical logs. The request log we keep to protect the service from abuse is deleted every night, so nothing of it remains after a day.

Payment records. If you subscribed to Sakina Plus, your purchase record lives in your Google Play account. We do not own it and cannot delete it; manage it in Google Play.

Deleting the account does not cancel the subscription

Cancel first in Google Play → Subscriptions, then delete the account. Otherwise the subscription keeps renewing.
